Arrowleaf "First crush red"

Background

A blend of mostly Pinot Noir with some Merlot and Lemberger added for structure and color.  We like using Pinot Noir as a base for this blend because it offers ripe fruit flavour and good texture on the mid-palate.  Whereas Pinot Noir tends to be more modest in color and tannin, Merlot and Lemberger are decidedly more robust, offering greater structure and adding nuances of spice and pepper.

Tasting Notes

Cherry, plum and raspberry aromas with light spicy and peppery undertones.  Medium bodied and smooth on the palate with sweet fruit flavours lingering on the finish
